SG Day 6 - CNY Day 1

Since sis and family are leaing for bangkok at 4pm
we started our cny visitation earlier than past years
Is our first year to give angbaos, so it was quite exciting for us!
We went to bro home for breakfast and husband discovered his love for wu xiang..

As compared when we were kids, CNY is less fun than before

In the past, we used to gather at my paternal grandma home for reunion dinner

and spend lots of time with the relatives on CNY day 1

while now, we dont get to see much relatives and left within 1 hour

however, husband is still surprised at how big the family is!

Thereafter, we hitched a ride with sis to airport

since we forgot to change indonesian currency for bali

oh, the day before my newly activated atm card has a faulty chip

and a new one will only be send within 3 working days

sadly, we banked in all our wedding angbao into my atm

so, we end up cashless and need to withdraw money from our euro card with high interest

luckily, the new atm arrived when we arrived sg after bali

thereafter, we met up with Aven to go the touristy river angbao

i never went there before as i felt it is always full of tourists

and when we arrived, it was really full of tourists and foreign workers

Oh, there was a wishing well where people are to throw coins 

at 5 different wishes attached to bells

such as zao sheng gui zi, guo tai ming an...

Husband really wanted to hit on the good health bell but was unsuccessful

aven and i got "zao sheng gui zi" at our first try! haha

finally after 5/6 tries, husband got "zao sheng gui zi" and "bu bu gao sheng"

hmm.. luck for baby this year??

After that we went to marina bay sands for a walk..

had popeyes chicken at singapore flyers

and took the long bus journey home...
