Bali Day 1 - Kuta

The night before we tried to checked in and download the boarding pass
to change our seats together at additional cost
but was unsuccessful and read online that we need to pay extra to print them at airport
However, end up the change of seats and printing of boarding pass are free!
Hmm.. i wonder whats the point of paying to do so online..
Everything went smoothly and we boarded the plane!
We were a little nervous about the flight after all the recent news
but we landed safely, just that husband left his socks in plane and became the last to leave the plane..

The customs was really slow at bali
Husband had to queue for his visa on arrival
and thereafter queue for the immigrations.
I think the couple before us did not get the visa first and end up need to requeue for everything!
We arrived around 315pm but only cleared everything about 415pm.
And we then took a taxi to our guesthouse at central Kuta.
With a frenchman, i think it is more difficult to negotiate for the best price
so, through the trip, i guessed we paid more than average..
The traffic was really bad at Kuta dn we only arrived at guesthouse at 500pm!

Although i have good memories about Kuta vibes,
husband read bad reviews on Kuta and wasnt really keen to spend more time at Kuta
so, we werent really upset to arrive so late in Kuta.
Our guesthouse was really simple and only costs euro17/night
Thereafter, we went for a simple indonesian dinner,
shop a little at the shops,
went to the beach,
booked our shuttle bus to ubud,
pharmacy to buy insect repellent
and kmart to buy drinks and snacks back...

I was really excited and looking forward to massage in bali
because it is sooooo cheap! at euro6/hour!
I was a little afraid that husband is not a fan of massage
but after the first night, he was hooked and we went for massages almost every night!

I was surprised at the amount of english channels on TV
Well, we dont have TV channels at home at Paris,
so we spent the night watching TV and rested early...

Normally, im quite shy to ask strangers to help us to take photos
or im scared they will run away with our camera/phone
so, with our new camera (vday present) and selfie sticks,
we did have more couple photos than other trips!
