The wedding day - dinner at dampierre part 1

Due to the delay in photoshoot
And a short rest at hotel
We arrived slightly late at the dinner
And was welcomed by everyone.

 











I was really happy at the table decoration
And thankful for all the help
That I need not do anything or be worried.

 








Dont really remember the start of dinner
I was busy sipping champagne
funny how I was stressed about programme schedule 
before the wedding day
But now i totally forgot about it haha
Thank goodness for all the helpers
To ensure all go well.
and the husband was still sober  
to remember everything too!

 











After mingling a little
It was time to give our speech
The husband was really sweet
To write his speech down
And read in both english and french
For me, I prepared my speech mentally
with alcohol, I didnt do a perfect job
but at least I remembered the main point
Hehe

 











Therafter was screening of our video
Which we spent many hours making it
There was a technical glitch
But husband friend quickly resolved it
Then we had a surprise video present
for husband from his friends
I knew it as I was interviewed for the video!
So with all fun and laughter 
we start the dinner...

PS we started with 3 waiters in the beginning
and somehow only 1 remain
we were worried that he will not ba able to cope 
with serving food and drinks
but to our and guests surprise
no glass was ever empty
food was served promptly
apart from getting tips from guests
the waiter earned the title "Linus"
with reference to How I meet Your Mother Series
haha
 

The wedding day - photoshoot

Since the husband believed that groom cant see the wedding dress
Before wedding as it brings bad luck
So we had a photoshoot planned 
In between the townhall ceremony and dinner
Which means a winter photoshoot
I think many tourists were taking photos of us
Because of a bride wearing so little 
Braving through harsh winter wind

We first went to castle of versailles
With the cold and heels,
It was really difficult to walk in the uneven stone path

 











And it was not helpful 
That our photographer dont really have ideas on our poses
So after i take off my coat
I was waiting for instructions
That i started the rule of 5s
Take a photo within 5s after my coat is off

Lucky for singaporean friends
Who took care of me by always fast to help me with coat
Take extra photos
And husband always holding me
And pretending is not cold
haha

Towards the end of our photoshoot

The castle security guards came to us

And inform that wedding photoshoot is not allowed 

So we left

But lucky for us we already completed our photoshoot

And they didnt confiscate the photo

When we went out there was another wedding couple

I guess they wanted to do a photoshoot too

But was stopped

So we head to castle of dampierre (wedding dinner venue)

To continue with shoot

As my feet was getting tired

From balancing on uneven stone path

I took off my heels at dampierre to run around

Since nobody was around

We got some nice photos fast

But my dress got dirty because of muddy ground

But photoshoot was completed 

We finally can return hotel at about 530pm

Initally the plan was to return dampierre by 615pm

To start decorations and preparations

Because my in law sent the stuff the day before

The castle has already set up for us

And just minor touch up

So i left it for the friends to do it

And only arrived at 7pm

We were late for our wedding dinner

But was happy to see everyone in the room

The wedding day - Townhall

By the time we arrived townhall
The friends and family had arrived
So alot of time was spent at saying hello
And thanking everyone for their attendance

As the wedding before us was still in progress

We stand around to wait

And everyone seems to be taking photos of us

Since we didnt knew what poses to have

End up we have plenty of photos of us standing still

And just smiling

And smiling

And smiling

Okay i was bored of smiling and did silly stuff at fiance

Finally it was our turn 

And we went into the beautiful marriage room.

Actually since the marriage application

We decided we do not require a translator

Since the application thinks fiance speaks good english

And it costs euro 350 for a translator

So we had a copy of the process transcript

And fiance translated to me beforehand

While i practiced what to answer.

However fiance suddenly felt that it may be safe to get a translator

In case the major makes changes in his speech

And i end up saying no to the wrong answer

So he text his friend to help us

At midnight the day before

And we were really glad for the translation

Because the major spent a long time

Introducing the room

And other stuffs

So the translator really helped me

I was really nervous

And had a difficult time putting the ring on fiance

All went well and we leave the room as mr and mrs garde!

Thereafter was spending time taking photos outside the townhall

With the guests going for free & easy

before the dinner

the husband and i head for our cold photoshoot

The wedding day - morning

Aven woke me up at 8am
So that i can have time for breakfast 
And preparations
But having slept late the night before
I struggled to wake up
Aven was nice to get me macdonlds for breakfast

Then came the moment to see the braids effects
It was not as curly as expected
More like maggie mee effects
Since we had time
I redid the braids but twisting and hope for the best
And took the time to chill in the room

Oh the night before
Aven borrowed an iron from hotel 
For his suit
And lucky for me it was a steam iron
So my dress got its much needed iron

Initially the plan was for fiance sisters to come
At 1230pm to help me with my dress
However, audrey and sharon managed to arrive at 11am
So i told fiance that his sisters can come with him instead
Since my room was really tiny

Fiance told me that the bridesmaid flowers did not turn out well
But sisters managed to save them by redoing them
So all was still well

It was fun having all singaporeans in the room
Totally enjoyed the nonsense and singlish
And when i undo my hair
The effects was great
So i continued the preparations

It was quite a mad rush
As audrey and sharon showered, repacked their bags 
And helped me with my wedding dress
That we were panickly packing the room
10 mins before fiance arrived

Finally fiance came
And i think i was really nervous
Babling nonstop nonsense and giggling at smallest thing

I did my best to fight the cold winter
In my thin wedding dress
With thermal pants from singapore
Many layers of stockings
And a fur shoulder coat
But it was still freezing
Especially when the wind blows
Not as if we delibrately choose a winter wedding

The bears looks fine on car
And i didnt tear my dress in the 2-door car
So off we go to the townhall!
